Watchtower Firearms on Feb. 27 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, facing a multitude of financial problems.

The Frisco, Texas, firearms maker faced operational challenges, tax obligations, and significant vendor and service provider debt that led to its financial distress.

Had never heard of them either. But after a quick search making a mark in the what I’d call custom $3,900 or more 1911 style market is hard. With Wilson, Les Baer, Staccato Nighhawk etc.

And north of 6K bolt guns that’s a slim market

Good luck to them tough hopefully they can re establish themselves

first i ever heard of them, so a quick search showed 9 people involved in the ownership/board..???

what the hell were thier salaries?

high prices for what i just seen as well.

you can't go into any business to compete with the big boys that are well established and expect to garner those prices.

doesn't even mention when they got started/founded.

just because they are (or were) Veteran owned means nothing, you gotta prove yourself first, then GROW from small beginnings

everyone on the board will do fine, it's the factory workers that will need to find employment.

They have a history of building problem guns. I’m surprised it took this long. Several of the high profile GunTubers like Honest Outlaw, who I think is extremely credible, have lauded their Watchtower 2011s, but they also visited the factory to have theirs designed and hand built.

Wow, I just watched that video of Honest Outlaw reviewing this. Also on the Sportsman's Warehouse website it has these listed on there, only two of them. I understand the drive to make the best 2011, but it seems like these really push the companies financially with R&D, materials, and overall production costs, and it's a big investment for mediocre returns in profit. Mind you most of the general public, and even most average firearm owners don't have the money to shell out 3-6K for a single firearm when that same money can get them multiple pistols, rifles, and shotguns.

Well apparently there is a lawsuit between the builders and the person that owns the building as well as they changed from another company.

Sounds like a drama ship sinking!!!!
