as it is now, there is a Bill in my senate for "safe storage" of our guns when not in use. this means, if we have 1 gun (or more) for home defense, it has to be locked up.

anyways.......... it's been reported now that a group from the state of CT, came to my state, and did this a few days ago....

now, i do know where this store is, but i have never been inside....

i can tell you this too, that there were NO large bollards in front of that door, or another door....

in contrast, the LGS i do go to, on the other side of that city.??

the city DEMANDED bollards be installed...!!

was the other store "grandfathered in", or, was it politics that made my LGS install them..???

BOTH stores have houses literally next door to them, and my store has a school literally a few yards away.......(maybe that could have been the reason)

however, doesn't it "make sense" to have an extra measure of security blocking the entrance to a gun store..???

now there are like 25-30 guns out there....and yes, the anti 2A people are already demanding action

Drive through smash and grabs have become so common in Memphis that many stores are installing bollards these days. Not just gun shops.
oh this is true, i know that.

but here where i live, the state of Hell, the anti 2A people have now more fodder to mess with us.

bollards should be mandatory for ALL buildings, where the store front abuts to the parking lot.

Stealing a truck and driving through the storefront is a preferred method for emptying a gun store. I suspect that this is already an insurance requirement for some and soon, I suspect, for all.

And I don't understand why this has anything to do with gun control advocacy. Aren't we all against felons (who can't buy them) stealing guns? Isn't that who we carry to protect ourselves from?

no, the anti 2 A people don't want ANYONE to have a gun.

It’s better for the store to install what ever they can to stop a smash and grab, the paperwork and hassle sucks after a robbery/theft dealing with the ATF. A full audit sucks way more than installing barriers.

this is true, but it goes with the old saying, "closing the barn door, AFTER the horse got out"...

best for all businesses to be pro-active.

Which has nothing to do with this topic.
then you can stay out of it.

it has everything to do with this thread...guns, breaking and entering, stealing, gun control, anti 2A people clamping down more, with this recent event.

do you even own a gun..???

Same in chicago, but the mayor defund the police and do not arrest and prosecute criminals johnson said bollards are not allowed in the city.
His plan to keep crime stats down.
