When it comes to handguns, there are lots of options, and choosing the right one can be complicated. There are full-size builds like the legendary 1911 platform, compact makes like FN's 509 Compact, and even sub-compact builds like Glock's G423X. Let's break down the purpose of each platform and touch on the pros and cons to get you pointed in the right direction.

As far as pistol size, will refer to this recent thread.

I would not exactly say they are overrated, they are good and have great bread, they are however greatly over priced.
I jus don’t like their subs. I like that they cut the meat “fresh”, but I think they’re just another “meh” sun in a field of “meh” subs. I see subway is doing away with pre-packaged meats and going the fresh cut meat route too. We have a little mom and pop sub shop in Fort Worth that knocks any of the franchise sub places on their behinds.

I haven't ate at Subway in a couple of years. Every time I do I'm disappointed. It just never seems like there's enough meat or whatever you're having on the sub to taste with all that bread.

And God only knows what a sub cost these days

I have the same problem with this article that I have with the other articles comparing gun size. Until we all agree on our terminology words like Micro compact, Subcompact, Compact and Full-size are meaningless.

The gun I carry most often is a Glock26. According to Glock that's a subcompact.
