Without a debate as there's no need too, what is your preferred choice? Magnification, objectives, weight, ffp, sfp, mil, moa, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, .1, .05, red, green, lit, reticle, dot size and other possible options? Whether it be on sbr, pistol, rifle, handgun or shotguns what gets you there and back?

For me I like the finer adjustments, thinner reticle lines and no on ebr/horus type reticles. Some have limitations as for what's produced and I can work with that.

1x8 or 1x10 LVPO for MSR’s in .308
1x6 LVPO for MSR’s in 5.56
RDS for SBR’s - prefer green

Not gotten into optics except a few old cheap scopes on .22s but looking more into it and reading things like this thread to learn more.

I’m a big believer in high end glass.

You do get something for what you pay, but I also am keenly aware it’s a case of diminishing returns.

High powered rifles- Best glass you can afford.

Carbines and shotguns- Holosun 510 or 512

Trijicon on the CCW, Vortex or Holosun circle dot/BDS red dots on the "multi purpose rifles" and an ugly Athlon on the 6.5 MSR. Vortex on the Saint Victor 308. Usually try to get bang for the buck, even have a Sightmark on the 9mm AR that lord help me has been dependable.
