read this about Newsome's "plan" to fix his budget.....

Gov. Gavin Newsom asked California lawmakers on Wednesday to dip into the state's rainy-day reserves, and signaled his desire to potentially delay a minimum wage increase for healthcare workers as part of his plan to offset an expected $37.9-billion deficit.

HHMMMmmmmmm...so GIVE fast food workers $20 per hour minimum wages, but DO NOT give health care workers same..??

i hope Newsome (or the lawmakers) don't need any hospital care, or health care in their future....!!

California shot themselves in the foot. The fast food industry has already responded with massive lay offs, more automation and much higher prices. Their plan is actually taking away jobs.
I see no reason why the health care industry wouldn't respond the same. I think that worries them.

IT SHOULD worry CA residents...way too many are in need of health care, every single second of the day,,,,all any emergency clinic, or hospital has to do is face a massive walk out...during an emergency.......i hope Newsome has an underground bunker.

Gavin Newsome is an utter mentally deficient arrogant liar. If Cali voters haven’t figured that out yet, it’s on them. I truly feel for the other voters who have to live with his garbage policies. I cannot fathom an administration under him. He needs to go away… far, far away.

i heard some talk about him running for Prez........trust me, if enough voters (on both side) do not want Trump, or "Trumpism", they will vote Newsome in....

Bad teachers are a dime a dozen. For reasons no one seems to understand, the more money you throw at education, the worse the results are for students. It would be refreshing for the educational system to concentrate on real educations that teach kids in math, science, and English. Many decades ago, people were given balanced education that prepared them for the law, teaching, engineering, today, not so much.

BUT...who ultimately is responsible for athletes to get paid so much...??

DA FANS.......fans hold the sports players up on a pedestal, and consider them to be Gods....

if fans just walked out on a game, or refused to pay like what...$1,000 for a family of 4 to go to nearly ANY game, the team owners will lose money, and not throw all sorts of money at the players...

George Steinbrenner said it best...."if you want a winning team, you have to pay for a winning team".....

so starve out the teams, the owners, the civic centers, ball parks, football stadiums, and see what happens.

STOP treating the players like Gods

I have been doing my part since early 1980's when the baseball players went on strike because they weren't making enough money. :mad:

me too..!!

then the leagues got together to play National against American, to get the fans back.

i have not watched any baseball game, not even the playoff's or World Series, since that strike.

and frankly i am a patriots fan, but i cannot tell you the players, and since Brady left..??

i have not watched 1 game..

Now, coach Belichick has been fired....

maybe, i'll at least give the new coach the benefit of his time, and watch next years games....
