so i went for blood work yesterday, and they needed a "fluid sample".....i hope you know what that means.

i could not provide one, so they gave me "the cup" to take home.

they are SUPPOSED to open at 6:30 AM...!!!

i got there at 6:40......they were still closed, all the lights were off, and maybe 4 people sitting in thier vehicles to go in and have lab work done.

so i drove off, i got better things to do, then sit in my car, the heater running on a 32 degree morning...

why can't people SHOW UP FOR WORK, as required by the employer..????

back in my day and i kid you not, it was "normal" for me, to show up for work at the very least 30 minutes early, each work day.

why are workers today so dang disrespectful of other peoples time..????

now, my "fluid sample", is sitting in my car, in the cold, might even be a solid block of ice, when i "get to take it" maybe around 12PM today..

i'll inform my doctor of this too, if the sample proves to be useless for testing.

christ, people DO YOUR DANGED JOB...!!!!!!!!!

Ha, I currently work in security, and one of my supervisors shows up a hour or two late regularly.

I work overnight, and sometimes drive to the supermarket that's supposed to open at 7am, but employees don't even start pulling up until then.

It's a common thing as is business that are supposed to close at 6pm for example shutting their doors 15-20 minutes early.

A funny story….
Although this happened about 30 years ago I’ll never forget it.
I had a doctors appointment and unfortunately I was late showing up to check in by 5 minutes, when I arrived I was told I was going to have to reschedule. Luckily it wasn’t an emergency and yes I was late but I wasn’t happy.

Got an appointment for the following week and this time got there 10 minutes early, I checked in and waited……
My appointment time came and went and still not called, 5 minutes after my appointment time I went to the counter and told the nurse I was going to reschedule because the doctors office was 5 minutes late, the look on her face was comical. She was in total shock that what was said to me was being told to her. She refused to give me another appointment and told me I needed to sit down and wait.

I walked out.

By the time I got home the doctor was calling me…. Yes the doctor not the office staff, I told him what had happened and he told me to come back in.

The nurse was fired.

i believe the worst thing ever done, was to pay people that $1,200 money more than once mind you, to stay home, and then on top of that, they were able to go on unemployment, what a bunch of crock.

so of course, people are going to take free money.

i think it should have been taxed like a regular paycheck would have been.

that way, i'd think, they'd want not to like that, free money anymore

stupid g'ment.

Just happened to me yesterday at dentist. Waited 30 minutes and still wasn't called in. Went to counter and told them they were fired. Person said they would charge me for no show. I told them same thing. Hour later dentist called to apologize, i said that's fine but that i would be looking for a new dentist. This wasn't first time i had issues with them.He understood. Wife goes in this morning bet she is seen right away!

But it wasn't actually free money. We are all paying it back and then some in inflation and higher prices for everything. Even with higher interest rates. It was more like a loan.

That's how it works. They expect you to be on time, but they never are. Just like the government expects to get their tax money on time, but will drag their feet when it comes to paying you back what you overpaid.

I don't blame you for being pi$$ed, getting up in the wee hours to find the doors closed. Do they have a bell to ring for service? Maybe a tinkle would get them to open the door. 😉

So, you had to tinkle in a cup huh…….🤣🤣

A sign of the times. I think the covid thing had something to do with it.We see this to the point where it is totally ridiculous. In every aspect of our life. Just one example. I walked into a new car dealer with intentions of purchasing a car. I made my intentions quite clear. I wanted to buy a car.in the $50,000 range. There were five Sales personal standing in a group talking. Just bullshiting.Upon my request to look at available vehicles they all just sort of shuffled away. One guy turned and said."Ill see if I can find somebody". A bit later a scruffy looking guy in jeans and a t-shirt came over and said. All the type of cars you want have been spoken for.If you want to order one its $500 deposit nonrefundable and we have no delivery date.At which point I turned and went home

please believe me, i was actually thinking of opening up that sample cup, and dumping my PI$$ all over the door handle......

don't put it past me, that i ain't never done such vengeful stuff in the past.

if i can go out of my way, and you got it posted (not you personally of course, just saying), on the door, your hours, you had dang well better be there.

the only excuses i could accept are,,,no electricity......or a fatal crash, and you had better be the one dead. cuz if you survived.??

you could have still opened up on time..>!!!!!!

The employees were probably on time, but they were sitting in a back eating their breakfast. It seems that in these times employers have to blend over backwards to find people who are willing to work.
no, i know the 2 employee's, and thier cars, neither was there, only other "blood donors"....

you'd think that Countess's Dracula would have been there ON TIME, to suck out the life's blood of the donors....but, that's a big fat...NOPE......

I hear you loud and clear on that. My Wife has Crohn's as you all know from reading my posts. Well anyways she goes for her treatments and doctor visits and at least once a week I get the emails or calls saying "Claim DENIED or Payment OVERDUE or the WE ARE TURNING THIS INTO COLLECTIONS. Went round and round on phone calls and no head ways. Get the same response that it's UP TO ME TO STRAIGHTEN THINGS OUT. Trying to keep it short here but consulted with my Attorney and a dear friend who is retired from the insurance industry and all advise me it's up to THEM to figure it all out. It comes down to the medical insurance people not doing THEIR JOBS correctly. If I do my job as a Policeman wrong someone gets killed or injured or sued or standing before the MAN answering a civilian complaint. Rant done...
