No talk of the 2nd amendment. That was the very first thing on my mind after the debate ended.

That’s actually a pretty sophomoric take on it. The battle cry to an election has and always will be “It’s the Economy Stupid!”

Neither candidate is going to provide voters on either side of the gun control issue an A Ha moment when the lightbulb goes on and that person says - you know what he’s right, so why poke the bear? Gun rights has never been a factor in a national election and with the NRA still recovering from the ND to both their feet, this election won’t be any different. The whole theme of the debate was, quite intentionally, He’s a Piece of S*** and He’s Too Old and Incompetent and as it happens, they were both right.
