I am cross eye dominant. I am ambidextrous in most things though. I feel more comfortable batting, boxing, kicking southpaw, but I write and play guitar right handed. I have always been very comfortable shooting a long gun from either side, but I pretty much have mostly shot pistols right handed. When I discovered I was left eye dominant I began training myself to shoot with both eyes open. This is done by focusing on the target leaving your sights slightly out of focus. My pistol shooting immediately improved dramatically.

Now, my brother is left handed, but uses his right eye to shoot.
