Winchester Extreme Defender

Definitely nice shotguns. Especially the Extreme Defender. I don’t know that it would be my first choice for HD though. They’re a little long on barrel and a little short on capacity.

I ran a shotgun way to many years to want a pistol type grip on one. I do like the looks of the gun though , if it only had a traditional style grip.

You get used to it quickly. I’ve been mainly a shotgunner my whole life and my tactical shotguns have pistol grips and butt stocks. Some have vertical forend grips too. Now I wouldn’t want one on my duck gun or quail gun but.....

I agree with you about pistol grips. I admit that they have some possible advantages, but they just don't feel right to me. The closest I have to a pistol grip shotgun is the SBM4 kit that I added to my Remington Tac-14. I justify the move by reminding myself that the Tac-14 is an "other firearm" and not a shotgun. On anything full-sized, I just prefer the traditional grip.

I can agree with that. I don't have or want any full size " Tactical " shotguns. The closest I come to that is the Keltec KSG25, which although it has a 30.5" barrel, it's overall length is still only 38".
