i did, and i have...the first was the TP9SF, then i got rid of it, cuz i wanted something else.Turkey made, no spare magazines around but would you own one?
it can be for "some parts"I do not own any gun made in Turkey. Getting parts for them would be my main concern.
I know what you mean. I shoot a K-80 on clays and a Browning Grade VI Citori for bird hunting. It kind of hurts my feelings to handle an inferior shotgun.Definitely a hard pass on Turkish shotguns for me. Life is too short to **** with cheap shotguns.
I know a few different guys with Stoegers and most of them have problems of one sort or another. My boss has an O/U that the vent rib has detached itself in a couple places. I'll end up trying to repair that one for him. Either sheet silver solder slid under the block and heated up or Gorilla glue.
Just know you will NOT be able to buy parts or magazines if you do make the buy...I’ve been by several of my LGS and they all have them in stock. Not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing. Testimony to Canik’s distribution system though. I do like the sights, price point is good and aesthetically they’re not bad Imo. I’m not quite there though.
Plenty of fan boys for Canik. Tisas too. Some reviews say the Tisas version of the BHP is better than the original.I’ve been by several of my LGS and they all have them in stock. Pretty lucky my man. S&W Shield, SA 10mm Ronin, SA M1A, S&W M&P15-2, Sig P365, SA Hellcat, VP9...all have had hiccups with various ammo at some point for me, some more than others. The Canik is the first and only firearm that has gone this long without one for me. I'm expecting it at any time, mind you.None of my Springfields or S&W have ever had a malfunction. And that's over thousands of rounds.
I have 2 Shields, neither of which have ever had a single issue and both of which are well over 2000 rounds now. I took a class with my M2.0 .45 a couple weeks ago. About 300 rounds total. The gun was so hot it was burning my hip through my Crossbreed Mini Tuck. WWB, Sellior and Belliot and Blazer Brass. Rolling around in the dirt, gun covered in sweat, muddy mags being jammed in and out of it. The 300th shot was as accurate as the first.Pretty lucky my man. I'm not a Canik fan by definition, I won't be buying another one due to the lack of magazines and parts.
and that sadly, is thier downfall.I'm not a Canik fan by definition, I won't be buying another one due to the lack of magazines and parts.
