XD 9 Mod 2 Extractor Has No Tension

Hello.
My XD 9 Mod 2 has been having extracting issues since the day I got it. It does not extract the casing almost every 2nd or 3rd shot. I already replaced the extractor once. I noticed my extractor is easily moved with little finger pressure and does not have any tension. Why might that be? In the attached photo you can see how the extractor just floats in the middle, has no pressure against the side of the slide to actually grab on to a bullet case.

What brand of extractor is it, factory or aftermarket?

When you removed it, did you bend it?

Did you tune it? If you look up 1911 extractor tuning it is the same concept.

Factory one did not have good tension. The replacement was from xdgunparts.com . I just looked up 1911 tuning and gave up. Put the extractor in vice grips, bent it a little and reassembled everything. It has a lot more tension now. Extracts good when pulling slide back. I might shoot it tomorrow to test it out.

Just finished shooting the XD. Shot 100 rounds perfectly through it. No issues at all. My solution to the problem was bending the new extractor a little to give tension, similar to a springfield 1911 the internet was saying.
