Springfield discontinued all of the XD Mod.2 line, except for the XD-S Models. They are still offering the traditional XD models, but without the Mod.2 features. I'm not sure that they necessarily replaced the Mod.2 line with anything, but they started introducing more XDM Elite models.

Yes the XD Mod2 Line in 9mm, 40SW and 45ACP Was discontinued during the last 8 months. In the last two weeks Springfield has discontinued other models in their striker fired line. As mentioned already the Elite has also taken some hits as well but the compact Elite 10mm lives on as well as a few others.
