XD9 Slide

Does anyone know where I can get a factory XD9 4" slide?

I want to get an optics cut and custom slide milling but I haven't seen a pre-fabricated slide design I liked. And since the optic has to sit extremely far back on the XD, forcing the removal of the rear sights, I wanted to do that on an extra slide.

To anyone who's done slide work on their XDs, who do you recommend?

You definitely won't get one from SA. They don't do that.

DV8 has them, but they are not even close to stock looking.
DV8 also provides a optics cut only service also if you send in you're slide so you can keep the slide looking factory as possible.

I'm not sure if this will affect the SA factory warranty if the pistol ever needed to be serviced.

Ya that’s why I wanted to get a slide from the factory so that in case **** ****s up, I will have another slide with warranty

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure SA doesn't sell parts directly to consumers.

If you contact SA customer service you could always ask the question that if you have your slide milled to accept a red dot will it void the total warranty or just the part that was modified. Slides typically don't go bad or develop issues later on so if you are able to maintain the warranty on unmodified components it maybe worth the question.

If you read in the manual, any modifications may void the warranty if not done by Springfield….so if you get the factory slide modified, your warranty may be void, I probably would just get the DV8 slide and have no worry

Yea, Springfield does not sell gun parts period, and I have seen slides crack around the injection area on high round count pistols, but mostly on cast slides, since the XD slides are forged, I wouldn’t be to concerned about this
