Xdm colorado compliant

I searched and was unable to come up with the answer I was looking for. So, i started an account to post my question. My question is, can you buy a xdm without the mags? Or do they sell a colorado compliant xdm. I have shot the weapon and really enjoy it. I would like to buy one but have no idea how since it has more than the allowable 15 round magazine.

Any help is appreciated.

Because of the CO 15 rd mag limit any of the XD/XDm line that max out at 15 should be compliant.

They are but they are compacts. I'd like a full size. Just trying to find a way to do that

Curious as to how this works. Are guns capable of holding a magazine greater than the arbitrary 15 round limit prohibited, or just the magazines themselves?

I have a 10 round mag for my XDm; it would seem that it should be "legal" if the law mandates a magazine restriction. Actually, it's not a magazine restriction, it's a rights restriction (but that's another issue).

Here in Illinois any handgun that their standard mag is 16+ rds are sold without a magazine, 15 or less come with a magazine.

I’d suggest you speak to local gun shops about this. You’ll get much better information on the reality of the situation in Colorado. Unfortunately, because of Springfield‘s status as an FFL manufacturer we can’t allow gray area discussions.
