Xdm Elite 10mm 4.5 slide on 3.8 Frame?

Think I saw a YouTube vid where someone did this without issue.

Anyone else run the 4.5in slide on the 3.8in frame?

The only difference is grip length, maybe.
Yes I've done it with no problem.
I say maybe because both 3.8" 9mm and .45 in the beginning had full sized grip.

This may have been my video posted, where I had swapped top end assembly’s, along with calibers (45 acp & 10mm).
I had taken my XDM elite 10mm 4.5”, and swapped the slide assembly with my XDM 45 Compact 3.8”. Both function perfect, and I haven’t experienced a single hiccup. I swap the uppers fairly often, just for more enjoyment at the range. The XDM Compact 45 is the original model, and the XDM 4.5” was the newer Elite 10mm model.
