XDM Elite or Echelon

Why did SA discontinue the Elite line in 9mm? is it because of the COG? I prefer the Elite myself. i love the grip and style. i don't care for the Echelon. I understand different strokes for different folks but if you're gonna keep the elite line in 10mm, why not the 9mm too.

I don't mind the Echelon (but will not get one) but like to have more options, especially when you have support gear that's set up for a certain platform. I prefer the XDm/XDm-E lines because of the latter.

I don't know why SA suddenly cancels some platforms without notice, or if in the case of their "imported" lines they have sudden problems with the original foreign partner.

Elite…only because I can’t compare it to the Echelon. I have enough big guns and the Echelon is full sized (correct me if I’m wrong).

They're keeping the Elites in 10mm for now because they don't have one for the Echelon. When they do have it available it will be discontinued as well. Same as when the Elite first came out, they continued the standard XD-M in 10mm for a while until the 10mm Elite was introduced.

I really like my 4.5 XDM Elite.
although, I did just pick up an Echelon and think I might like it a bit more. Decisions, decisions.

I texted the LGS guy and ask him if he could get a Elite OSP tactical in fde. he texted back in a few and said none of his distributors have one. i said if you find one i want it. i looked online and didn't find none in stock anywhere.
