XDM magazine problem??!

Hi, I recently purchased a XDM Elite 4.5" 9mm. I fired it for the first time yesterday and immediately ran into an issue. When I would fire off a round the magazine would either fully unseat and fall to the ground or would barely unseat by about 1/5th of an inch and cause a FTF. It seems to happen spontaneously (more often then not) i was able to get through 5-6 rounds a couple times without it having either problem. Today I was inspecting it trying to see if I could replicate the issue and found out that I could. Even with no rounds in the magazine when it's seated, if I rack the slide the magazine would unseat enough that it would've caused a FTF had there been a round in the magazine. I have made no alterations to the pistol and the magazine are stock magazines that came with it. I know I am not hitting the magazine release. Also when I seat the magazine I've tried pulling on it and it its indeed firmly seated, until the slide is racked and then my problem happens. Any ideas or help you all can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just ta make sure they are the Elite magazines with the extended base plates? What you are explaining happens when you use the flat older baseplates. If they are the extended mags then I would call Springfield

I'm not entirely sure, I believe these are the 20 round Elite mags. Are you talking about the 22 round magazines?
