Hi, new to the forum but a long time gun owner. I just purchase the XDs mod 2 9mm 3.3” with red dot.
The CT 1500 came uninstalled. There’s no instructions on what size is the bit to take off the plate covering. Wondering if anyone knows what size is the bit and any tips to take it off easily? I’d like to install the red dot ASAP. The tools that came with the package is not the correct ones.

Yeah, there are 3 size hex that came with the package. 1 for red sights elev and wind adjustment, another for the actual hex screw to mount the hex screws for the optics. There is the third piece hex that is not sized for anything, I’m guessing the 3rd should hve been the torx to unscrew the plates. Really would like to enjoy the new gun with optic but had to wait until I get the tool I ordered through Amazon and install the red dot
 
Hi I just bought a mod 2 with the optic which hex is for the screws on the top of the pistol? I tried all and none of the fit the top screws
