Xds issue

Hello I have an xds 9 with a trigger not working it will not let me release the slide please let me know how to do that if the trigger will not allow the release thanks

Are there any modifications?
Did you eject the magazine?
Did you rotate the take down lever up?
Are you gripping the Grip safety before you pull the trigger? The trigger will not work unless you push the grip safety in.
