Are you black ?

Why would you think anyone here would use that term to refer to a black person ? You didn’t just meet everyone. It’s a ridiculous assumption on your part to think anyone here would not only refer to a black person that way but actually write it on the forum. It’s a well known and legitimate term meaning spy. And I’m sure as soon as a mod sees how you reacted to it it will join all the other normal terms that you can’t use here.

I was raised on a rice farm/cattle ranch there was always work to do, can't say I miss it. Vietnam kinda forked me up for a few years, drank too much couldn't keep a job. Thank God I had a great wife that stuck with me till I got my shite together. At age 55 social security & VA declared me disabled don't know if I can say if that's retired. Enjoyed hunting and being a competitive shooter. Old age (77) & health problems keep me from being as active as I would like to be. Still don't miss working although my last job as Chief Photographer for my local newspaper was a lot of fun. My wife, Linda, retired after 32 years with AT&T she is very active in our church and loves gardening. I try to shoot at least once a month and like tinkering with my guns. Forgot we have five dogs(babies) that we really enjoy.

No, are you, that’s beside the point, I’m not going to keep on with this. I didn’t like it period, doesn’t matter to the choice few on here, there always right and anyone is always at fault, enjoy your forum!!!!

Dude, you’ve been on this forum with these people since the beginning. If you don’t already know that none of us would use that term in a racist way ( which I don’t believe for a second) that’s pretty F’ing offensive. If anything we should be pissed that you think that little of us.

And if you’ve never heard that term applied to secret agents then you live in a cave.
 
Be pissed at me, I don’t care, I took offense to it, if the meme wasn’t included like it was, I more then likely have wouldn’t have cared, and yes I know it means spy and such, I’m not as dumb as you might think I am, but to the few chosen ones here it doesn’t matter what I think, there right and I and at fault like I stated earlier. I am not mad at anyone over this, I know Simon more then likely was making a joke, again I just didn’t appreciate it the way it was brought forth.

actually at least 3 meanings for that word..

1) black person

2) spy

3) ghost

as evidenced in the Anthony Hopkins movie..."The Human Stain", where he gets fired for using it, due to a misunderstanding
 
as a navy person
spook for us were the intelligence folks (ratings, jobs etc) that studied all the secret spy crap and briefed us on what to expect etc in places were were about to venture.
i knew a bunch that wore khakis (cpo) and later found out they were faking it...so i assume cia and other intelligence agencies put agents amongst us. i liked having them around, we knew all the good spots to go in town :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
either way they were some loose cannons on liberty and all that..
great times we had
