Illinois Sen. Richard Durbin says he isn't going to run for another term.

Anytime I sent him a letter about something , when he replied , he let me know he knew better than I and I should listen to him.

That's about the same response I got from Lauren Underwood.

Our founders looked at the role as a civic duty, a way to serve the young nation. Too bad it’s become a career. I can’t stand when I hear politicians talk about it that way. Turns me off immediately.
