That would be a yes. Dogs play a bigger part than one thinks. A growl and bark are huge deterrents

Yes. My girlfriend has a crazy ex. She's not certain he isn't dangerous and there have been some strange things happening outside her house recently. I always bring a .40 when I spend the night at her place, since it makes her feel safer, but her 90lb bully breed is probably the best security she can have. She (the dog) has a serious bark and god help the intruder that gets tangled up with those jaws. She's a super sweet pup the rest of the time.

My dog is a softy. But people think she’s an attack dog with her bark. She’s my early warning system. She’ll know by the sound of your engine or your voice if you belong.

When I had dogs they operated fantastically in that capacity as well. I had a pit that didn't know he was a pit. My golden punked him out all the time. I would never train or use my dog ( or any dog) as a weapon. Burglar alarm, sure?
