No. It is possible that it needs a minor adjustment. The mag release on my Emissary .45 was seated incorrectly and I had to adjust it to allow the magazines to be released.

Always possible that the resizing of the reloads is not totally in spec. That is why many gun manufacturers will tell you that they will void the warranty is you use reloads.

I haven't had the feed ramp polished on any of my 1911s. And of the 26 that I own, only 2 have ever had feeding issues. Both are Kimbers. Even my $500 Rock Island GI is reliable. So I guess the answer to your question is. YES!
