Spoke to Springfield Warranty dept today .They are sending me a new blast diverter.via fedex They did offer to let me ship the gun to them for inspection / repair but I declined due to being 2-4 weeks turns around.

Has anyone experienced this. My Saint 7 1/2 “ 556 is Gen 1 about 4 yrs old .. Today shooting at the range some Winchester 223 55grain FMJ Brass the Blast Diverter appears to have exploded didn’t realize at the time till I got home to clean it. Is this normal just wear and tear or something else ?
