Took a Political Break - Range Trip w/Glock 27.5 with KKM .357 Sig Conversion Match Barrel

Also remember that the .357 Sig is a bottle neck cartridge. With the chamber being so big in relation to the bullet size, it almost HAS to feed. I think the recoil and blast is much less than a 125 grain .357 Magnum load; semi auto probably helps that. Frequently in the winter where it is easier...

    Anyone else into cooking?

I married well above my league, that is for sure. I had been divorced since 1992 and got married in 2012 to the right woman. That is a long time without adult supervision and I never thought I would settle down. Then just like that, I met the right woman. Funny how things work out.

A sad day at Ed Brown Products

This is terrible news. He was a local Missouri boy and was always friendly. His products are outstanding...the family was involved with the business, so I suspect they will carry on without him, but the industry lost a real pioneer.

Ford Mustang GTD Will Have 815 HP and a 202-MPH Top Speed

Need it? Nope. But this is America...it is about wants not needs. I don't need big house...but I want one. As the anti's are quick to say, "You don't need thirty rounds to hunt deer". Only getting what you "need" is generally a miserable life and it ends up Soviet style standing in line for...

    Car Folks and Gun Folks

That Fairlane 500 would be a great daily. Back in the early 90's my daily driver was a '68 Suicide Door Thunderbird. That thing was a pig off the line because of the weight, but it would drop into passing gear at the then current 55 MPH speed limit and really spool up.

    Springfield Tolerances...bless 'em!

Thanks. It shoots well and has not missed a beat...as I would have expected. The dimensions on the 1911 are pretty ironed out by now, and since it was just a top end swap no fitting was required. It is my only 1911 with an ambidextrous safety in case I am ever asked to star in an action movie...

Show off your Every Day Carry!

After decades with the 1911, my cop buddies finally wore me down and I went Glock 19. Shortly after that, Gabe Suarez started his red dot work. When he finally offered one for the 19, I mounted a Trijicon RMR to the custom slide and was a convert. It takes my glasses out of the equation. It is...

KAMALA UNVEILS OFFICIAL GUN CONTROL PLATFORM

And get your friends to vote with you! So many gun owners don't vote...it boggles my mind. The liberal left is a minority, we just need to get out the vote!

    Anyone else into cooking?

My wife got me a flat top for my birthday. If there was any justice in the world, I would have to stand in front of one for a living...luckily, I got what I wanted in life instead of what I deserved! It is great for bacon!

    Springfield Tolerances...bless 'em!

So I ended up with a Loaded 1911, and I liked everything about it...well, except for the forward cocking serrations. They leave me cold, just as a rail on a 1911 does. The trigger was great out of the box. So, what to do? Fit a top end off a Mil-Spec of course. Harks back to the Pachmayr Combat...

    Car Folks and Gun Folks

No, here to talk guns. But I have noticed the cars we drive are also clues to our personality, so since I am new I am wanting to get a feel for who is already on the forum. Plenty of room to talk cars and guns...I know this because this is mostly what my friends talk about!

    Ruger embraces the new wave

A good friend of mine used to rep for FN when the 5.7 was introduced. He is convinced about its performance with the right bullets. What I was thinking about was the lack of recoil as I get older and arthritis in my right hand is starting to act up. (possibly from years of recoil? I don't know)...

    Car Folks and Gun Folks

I always kept a four wheel drive something around so I would not have to shovel my driveway. But this Jeep CJ 5 was my favorite. Note to self: Stop drinking at least 8 hours BEFORE picking up the paint gun.

    Car Folks and Gun Folks

Always loved the look and feel of the early Mustangs. When I got out of college and got a suit and tie job, I was without adult supervision. As a result, lots of cars and bikes! Here is a fastback '67 Mustang with a warmed up 289 and three at the knee. Great around town car, always in the power...

    Thoughts on 25 acp???

I will chime in with the centerfire is much more resistant to moisture than a rimfire. If you carry a mouse gun in a rimfire caliber, change your ammo out frequently and practice with the ammo you carried but didn't use. I am no big fan of the .25, but at the office Range Day a few years ago I...

    What Is G-10?

Ha! My smartphone is already way smarter than I am. I need more interweb speed like a duck needs galoshes. I do like G-10 grips however, and the 1911 platform is the centerfire I shoot best, hands down.
