my local store still has regular prices on range ammo. 50 round fmj 9mm range ammo is still $12 a box. you just have to be quick to get it. I haven't been able to find any 556 for less than $1 a round.

If you press the safety blade properly, as you should, it‘s a non issue. There are several other blade safety guns that will lock up the same way if not operated properly.
