Will You Use Your CCW If You Are Attacked?

Funny as hell! (Yeah, the civilian grade stuff is 10% OC while the military grade stuff is 15% or more. ) A good "bear spray" approaches "military grade" stuff..........and, maybe even less expensive!

Dillon sending parts 5 minutes after request

I've been reloading since 1974, starting with an RCBS Junior single stage press. When I got my Dillon 550B, the pace of reloading became astronomical compared to single stage. Yeah. If I were to win any lottery, I'd get another Dillon 550, and set it up for large primer reloading. (Swapping...

Would You Make This Deadly Gunfight Mistake?

I read about it in a print article. I wish I could find it on line.

Will You Use Your CCW If You Are Attacked?

Get some military grade OC pepper spray. Unless somebody is on a hefty dose of PCP, if they get hit in the eyes and nose with that stuff, they will wish that you had shot them.

Will You Use Your CCW If You Are Attacked?

In addition to my EDC, I carry a walking stick/cane and pepper spray. Boom-boom is always a LAST resort.

Will You Use Your CCW If You Are Attacked?

I'm also an old Veteran. I have carried concealed since 1975. I purposely do NOT go where I might be a victim of violence, but, if I am ever attacked, or have to defend my wife or other family member, things will get very ugly, very messy very quickly. Like the saying going around these days...

Will You Use Your CCW If You Are Attacked?

I have carried concealed (licensed) since 1975. I also carry military grade OC (pepper) spray. I tell all my friends that if ever I am approached by somebody looking to harm me, the first thing I'm gonna do is pepper spray the livin' crap outta them. If they continue to advance to attack me...

Dillon sending parts 5 minutes after request

Dillon Customer Service is UNSURPASSED! I sent an email describing a couple of minor parts I would like to procure, and they sent them the next day as part of their no-BS warranty. I have told many of my reloading friends that if they don't have a Dillon reloading system, they are not really...

Would You Make This Deadly Gunfight Mistake?

Great article if you are a policeman or military and routinely go into places where you will get into a firefight. For those of us who are not police or military, the quickness of the draw and accuracy of fire are more important than speed of reloading. Also, we older non-police folk often carry...

Will You Use Your CCW If You Are Attacked?

If I or my wife and I or friend and I are ever attacked, my military training will kick in, my “switch will be flipped” and things will get VERY ugly, VERY messy, VERY quickly. Until then, I’m the nicest guy you will ever meet. I have had friends tell me that even though I’m a nice guy, there...

Springfield Armory Garrison 4.25" 1911 Review

I have an SA Stainless 1911 .45ACP Garrison 5” (I got last year and absolutely LOVE it) and a blued Colt .45ACP Series 70 Combat Commander (I bought from one of my DEROS-ing NCO’s while in the Army in the late 1970’s -that I also LOVE). Since I have the Combat Commander I really cannot justify...

    10mm anyone

Nay. Over penetration. Heavy recoil. Generally unpleasant to shoot. IMHO

Springfield Armory Garrison 1911 finish and rear slide overhang

My Garrison 1911 .45ACP fit is perfect! No problems whatsoever. It fires everything I feed it. JRN, JHP, SWC. All from SA 7 round magazines

1911 Retired From Marine Corps Service

Probably due to the over abundance of 9mm ammo out there. The USMC, being the poor red-headed stepchild of the US military, must carefully husband their $$.

Springfield Armory Garrison 1911 finish and rear slide overhang

I agree. Aside from OLD guns, anything I procure these days or in the future is stainless.

Springfield Armory Garrison 1911 finish and rear slide overhang

I have run hundreds of rounds thru my stainless 1911 .45ACP Garrison with zero problems whatsoever. I did replace the grips with ones from Altamont that fill my hand just a tad better. Those thin grips that came with the pistol were just toooo uncomfortable, at least for me. I’m actually saving...

    Springfield 1911 45 Mags.

I have some 8 round Wilson mags but don’t really like them. They poke out of the mag well too much for EDC for me and they are hard to “seat.” I prefer the standard 7 round mags from Springfield.

    1911 Mil-Spec Issue

A few things: 1. when the round was chambered if it hit the feed ramp really hard the slug could have been pushed farther back into the case. 2. If you were rapid firing maybe the round fired out of battery. 3. If you were shooting “low gun” and the round ejected straight up and back the...

    My first knife

A Boy Scout folding knife with screwdriver and bottle opener and can opener in addition to the blade that I kept “shave the hair on your arm” sharp that I got when I was 8. I carried that knife for more years than I can even count. It is in my “war box” these days, waiting for my daughter to...
