Call them. Don’t email. Much faster response.
As to the sling setup, there’s a QD socket in the stock and end plate.
As to wiggle? The grip, just tighten it. Not sure if you’ll just need a common screwdriver or a hex (Allen) wrench.
If the rail is loose…that should be addressed by SA...
True, they were banned…but they brought in a LOT of them while they could. IIRC, they could be gotten for around $100 back in the day.
While they aren’t as common as a Bulgy, they aren’t nearly as desirable as an E. German.
I was shooting an AR on an off-shoulder drill and put a piece of brass up my sleeve…long sleeved shirt, but the gap at the wrist opened up.
It gets your attention.
There’s a couple companies—Hornady and Fiocchi, iirc—that load the excellent XTP JHP in 9x18.
Some of the boutique manufacturers have some pretty hot loads in 9x18, too. Most hard hard cast, but there’s some decent JHP offerings as well.
We didn’t do truck or treaters this year…with the new pup being so timid, we thought it would be a bit much for her.
Still, a couple of optimists tried our doorbell…one group had some fun with the camera.
🤣
I know the method…and unless you are carrying a full-size handgun with 4.5” or more of barrel, you’re probably going to some of your hand in front of the muzzle…covering it if you have meaty hands.
It’s just not a good idea, in my book.
Yeah, that front of the slide method is about as absolute last ditch as you can get; you lose any defense from your off hand, and it’s been known for people to get their hand in front of the muzzle when practicing it.
Just carry a revolver.
That method—holding the slide with your thumb—isn’t universal.
If your pistol has a grip safety, you can’t depress it (er-hem, XD series); no bang. If it has a hammer…it’s very easy to get your thumb in its path (I know, I’ve done it trying to keep the slide of a USP locked when shooting...
Oh, I’m not complaining; I’ve got the pup curled up by my feet, I’ve got a fire in the fireplace…and if I want, I’ve got more than a couple really good bottles for a dram or two.
Life is very, very good.
I disagree with that, a bit.
Turned several people on to revolvers with my 43C in .22…and going on to the 442 or a 36 in .38 normally isn’t a problem; I just don’t start them out on +P’s; light wadcutter loads and they do just fine.
Originally, I was supposed to go pheasant hunting today…but the new pup changed that.
Which is good, because it’s craptastic outside. Sleeting earlier, now just cold drizzle.
Normally, that would mean gun shops and libations…
Not today.
It’s an odd one, but…Tristar makes a really nice semiauto .410. Yeah, it’s Turkish, and only available with a long bird barrel…but if she’s not going room clearing, it may be a consideration.
