You aren’t going to get a 200gr .40 moving that fast. .40 will likely be down around 900fps with the same bullet. You also won’t get 230gr or heavier bullets in a .40.

I’d go with a RIA 1911. The widebody models go for just over your price, but you can get a really nice single stack with money leftover for spare mags...
