Hellion Bullpup for Vehicle Defense

first the hellion is an excellent rifle, and i agree i think it would be hard to explain the taking of a long range shot as a need for personal defense. the more distance between you and the bad guy is good and lowers your risk. however being retired law enforcement i was issued additional weapons to carry in my patrol vehicle. i was issued an ar platform rifle, and a 870 shotgun. now being retired my choice for my "truck gun" is the ar platform pistol, mine have the 7" barrels, i carry one either in 5.56 caliber or 300 blackout. they are easy to store, easy to maneuver within my vehicle. i added a red dot for easy target id. agree or disagree its everybody to each their own

while the hellion is an excellent rifle, but with the advancement of the ar platform pistols, my "truck" gun is the ar pistol with a 7 1/2" barrel, still good for at least 100 yrds, i rotate between calibers, (5.56 or 300 BO) depending where i am going or which one i grab first.

7 1/2” I would definitely be going 300Blk.

I have a 10 1/2” 5.56.

If you have a brace on that pistol, my AUG is the same length as your pistol is with the brace extended…with a whole lot of ballistic advantage coming from a 16” barrel.
