Mine does fine now. I always ran pistols with a very thin film of oil inside. That wasn't enough for my SD40. Before I go shooting with it I do the 6 drops of oil first. Then it runs perfectly with any ammo. It may loosen up after a thousand rounds or so. I have only put about 300 through it.

I took a S&W SD40VE on trade, it looked brand new. Lots of people buy guns then really don't shoot them very much. Took it to the range and it was one FTF after another. Took it home, downloaded a manual, and lubed the 6 spots it called out for good operation. Back to the range- much better...

The sights on the Yugo needed no adjustment. It functions perfectly and tosses empty brass straight up and forward about 5 feet. Every cleaning people should give the bolt a shake to make sure the floating firing pin is not gummed up. There have been incidents of slam firing (but not many.)

I hate to admit what I paid for my Yugo. That said, they were going for a lot more during the riots of 2020. I saw one bring almost $2K. The people were going nuts for anything in 7.62X39.

Here's my Yugo 59/66. And a little friend of the family. I was stunned to find it hadn't ever been fired, like the seller said. Not a wear mark anywhere in the action, just some left over cosmoline. Made in 1977. The old sling and oiler pouch were added by me.

I don't remember if my Hellcat was extra stiff in takedown or not, but with the Apex trigger it has now it is no heavier than when shooting. The Apex slicked it up pretty good. It's about 2 pounds lighter than before and breaks clean. Not fun to install, though, especially if yours has a manual...

On my RDP, the front sight doesn't show its full extent, but maybe a bit more than half. It does make an adequate picture through the glass. The gun would be usable if the sight died. Unlike the picture in the manual, mine is set with the dot (after holding my best sight picture) right on top...

I use the irons (RDP) to get the red dot in the glass. It's my first RDS so I'm a bit slow with it. The sights get me in the ball park, then the dot is right there. I really like the Hellcat and the wasp. Mine works great. I'm sorry they are having such trouble with a production run of them...

Have a buddy load a magazine with one dummy round unbeknownst to you. When it fails to fire you'll see your own muscular contractions and gun movement and that helps you learn to overcome them. We had a shooting site with no people at all anywhere with high backstops all around. I liked to take...
