Update: I contacted Springfield Armory and they are sending out a replacement front sight (under warranty). The representative thought possibly the original sight wasn’t machined to the right specifications. I will install it and 🤞🏻. Much appreciate the advice and phone number!

Seems to be the simplest and most uninvasive possibility. If it works, great, if not I wouldn’t think it would impede moving on to plan B, C etc.

Thanks for the informative video. I’m a bit reluctant to take a hammer to the slide on a semi-auto fearing I’ll muck it up. But then I’m also reluctant to pay the gunsmith as much to lay his hammer to it as I might pay to just buy a new slide so…hammer sounds pretty good about now.

Haven’t kept any count but I am sure I have put over 1000 rounds through it with zero improvement! I get your point about it not being a 1911 but must say I do like it for EDC.

is it possible to adjust the trigger pull on the Hellcat? Mine is very stiff and “catchy” yet my grandson has a Hellcat purchased almost the same time but the trigger pull on his is very smooth. The only difference in the two firearms is that mine is optics ready and his is not.

The front sight on my XDM .40 keeps slipping off center (to left). I bought a sight mover and realigned the sight, but first time I fired the pistol is slopped again. Is there a fix or do I need a new front sight?
