    Increase Magazine Capacity

You are not alone. I feel this way. It's dog eat dog in the semiauto handgun business with mag capacity being prime real estate. S&W and other companies these +2s are made for would NOT purposely short change themselves on magazine capacity. Logic dictates to me that they went with the springs...

For all you newbies about gun(s) availability

I found that it shows up online first, but those that show up for a decent retail price sell quality and those that are left are usually overpriced above MSRP. With the Colt Pythons for example. No LGS had them in stock that I know of when they first came out, but GunBroker and a few online...

Fixed Blade vs. Folding Knife for EDC?

Yes, they are illegal to conceal carry in my state even for those who can legally conceal carry a handgun or even an AK or AR pistol. Makes absolutely no sense. One would think the 2nd Amendment applies to more than just firearms; otherwise, they would have explicitly state "right to bare firearms."

Law makers against Illinois hog confinements Jan, 1

I'm torn. I don't like all the CA government over regulating, but at the sane time I think keeping an animal confined like that is wrong as well.

Fixed Blade vs. Folding Knife for EDC?

I use to carry folders, but now I only EDC a fixed blade. A U.S. manufactured Kershaw 1080 with Sandvik 14C28N steel. I typically keep it in a sheath in my weak-side side or back pocket mainly for gun grab purposes. 2 3/8 inch blade, so it's legal to carry in most places including public schools.

ATF Pistol Brace Ban Struck Down in Federal Court

That could be "Constructive Possession" prior to the injunction to the ATF though I doubt anyone would get caught or prosecuted unless it's a secondary charge to a more serious crime. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/can-i-possess-pistol-and-unattached-%E2%80%9Cstabilizing-brace%E2%80%9D

ATF Pistol Brace Ban Struck Down in Federal Court

True but to be on the safe side and avoid any issues while this plays out for the next year or two, I personally would play it safe and buy a pistol without a brace on it, and then buy the brace separately. No official paper trail, worrying about transfers and ATF read tape, no worrying about...

ATF Pistol Brace Ban Struck Down in Federal Court

I did not say anyone could not. That is from the ATF rule. The same rule that is currently under a nationwide injunction as of last Wednesday. I'm pointing out what will happen to the braced pistols that are shipped to a FFL for transfer and are entered into their log book before the buyer has...

ATF Pistol Brace Ban Struck Down in Federal Court

I wondered what would happen if someone purchased a braced pistol from PAA, and then the stay was reversed. Here is what I found on the ATF's website:

When it comes down to it, what is your "go to" EDC?

I know some frown on "rotating guns," but I didn't buy small buy carry sized guns designed for EDC just to keep them sitting at home. I feel that I can hold my own with each of them. Hellcat micro w/o reload = Pocket Carry or Deep Concealment. Kahr K40 and Shield 45 Performance w/ two 7 round...

ATF Pistol Brace Ban Struck Down in Federal Court

Haha, there are more on AKFiles who are the same way. The kicker is all of them have SBRs, but think those that got a SBR for free are cheap, sold themselves out, would sell other gun owners out, and they are hoping that the ATF sticks it to us. Now if we gave the AFT and IRS $200 like they did...

ATF Pistol Brace Ban Struck Down in Federal Court

To #6, I am on another forum right now where several members are wishing and praying that the brace SBRs are rescinded, the ATF goes after us for having had put a real stock on our pistols, and that we are fools, idiots, and they hope for the worse possible scenario. I don't under why they are...

    Options aren't optional.

Great minds think alike. Except I sold the 40s&w, and picked up a Shield 45 Performance Center that I still carry.

Will the AR pistols make a return?

I believe that when the ATF appeals the ruling it will be to the 5th court. The 5th court ruled against the ATF and remanded the case back down to the district court in which the most recent ruling comes from. If the ATF appeals this ruling, it will go back up to the 5th Court of Appeals which...

Will the AR pistols make a return?

Yes, @uspis correct. The pistol brace amesty tax free SBRs wait the engraving requirement which that and not having to pay $200 is the only thing that tempted me to finally get a SBR.

Will the AR pistols make a return?

Yes, but with a pistol, one does not have to spend the extra money $250 plus the price of the gun and go through all the red tape just to shoulder their "pistol" when they can shoulder with with a brace. Plus, there are benefits of having a "pistol" over a SBR and standard rifles. I am not happy...

Will the AR pistols make a return?

You can just purchase an AR15 pistol, and then buy a pistol brace of your choosing. That's the simplest route. Or, you can purchase an AR15 lower, upper, and pistol brace all separately as @uspatriot1960 suggested.

Will the AR pistols make a return?

SBR: You need permission to leave the state, and you have to notify the ATF if you move. You can't simply leave it with friends or loved ones (u less you hate them). NFA item items are illegal in some states. There's a $200 tax. You have to have the barrel or receiver engraved. A SBR is of...

Will the AR pistols make a return?

The brace rule is dead. It has been losing overvand over again. I don't see SCOTUS upholding the brace rule either. A few conservative Justices have been open opponents of the Chevron Deference, and have already made rulings against the EVA'S "rule changes." Other others have already used in...

    Options aren't optional.

I don't fear death but rather getting to that age and state, and then becoming a burden to my children. They might not see it that way, but looking into the future I do. I reckon I'm a couple more decades or so from it. Hopefully everything works out for the best @Bassbob. A Shield 40s&w was...
