    Idiots Rule...Again

GPS is indeed a great resource, but it is wise to keep the big picture in mind.

    Snub revolvers are still relevant

I spent some time yesterday filing and sandpapering the “corner” of the trigger on my 642. Today I started shooting at 10’ like Hans suggested. It worked great. Didn’t bother my finger after 20 rounds, and I was hitting about half an inch to the right of my aiming point. All the shots were...

Three Motor Officer Deputies Struck, 2 Dead,Palm Beach County

So sad. The person who hit them was probably speeding.

    Vehicle portable safe/lock boxes

I’m definitely not a cable expert, but I believe aircraft grade cable is pretty difficult to cut. Still a lot better than the glove box, but anything like a cable or chain can be defeated given enough time and the right tools.

When it comes down to it, what is your "go to" EDC?

You probably already know this Hilda (I am usually way behind), but a CO2 pistol can be messed up by not putting a drop of oil on the top of the CO2 cartridge when a new one is put in. Ask me how I know. :(

The Rimfire Report: Why Aren't .17HMR & .22WMR More Popular?

I agree with Mike. Too expensive for what you get unless you have a pretty specific need.

Femme Fatales - Female influencers on Instagram

I really like Julie Golob, and agree Lena Miculek is great. I think both of these women were champion shooters first, then became manufacture’s reps then became “influencers.” I am not familiar with any of the other women mentioned, but have watched some of She Equips Herself YouTube videos...

    Snub revolvers are still relevant

I just spent several minutes dry firing the 642 and even called S&W to see if they had heard these complaints. They had not heard of the finger pinching issue and did not have any different triggers. Based on my dry firing, I believe (and this may be limited to me and other folks with similar...

    Snub revolvers are still relevant

Thanks, Hans. You have inspired me to get better at longer range shooting with a snubbie. I shot about 20 rounds last week and had to quit because the 642 was really pinching the “inside” of my trigger finger. I am going to use dry fire and see if I can figure out why. The 642 is the only...

    Winterizing vehcles-need advice

I feel kind of sorry for the possums because the armadillos have crowded into a lot of their territory. There don’t seem to be nearly as many possums in my area as there used to be. To answer Hayes’ question, you should change them every 5 litters. :).

    Snub revolvers are still relevant

At least I can fantasize about making snubby hits at 25 yards, Hans. :). That is about as close as I can get! I do really like them, though, because they are as handy as a pocket on a shirt.

Very Scary But Was It Preventable?

I don’t do it, but things like that (if true) are why I prefer to work on my own vehicles.

    Terrorist threat

Would be terrorists are bad enough, but based on what I have read, we have the real thing among us now. I hope we have some real “Jack Ryan’s” in place watching out for us.

The EDC Shot You’re NOT Prepared to Take

Thanks for the link, Mike. Interesting. Welcome to the forum, DeadShot. Does that moniker mean you don’t have to worry about hitting 50 or 75 yard shots? :) I don’t know about most of you, but in my area a lot of the criminal element are carrying rifles these days. That is actually kind of...

    For the record

A very good post, Hayes. It made me think of the movie “Police Academy” and all the different personalty types highlighted in the movie. A lot of professions perk along behind the scene, but police and firefighters take care of business in front of God and everybody. Any hiccups these days...

Shotguns VS. PCCs for home defense

A person could have both if they have the money, but if I could only afford one it would be a shotgun. A hit just about anywhere would most likely stop the threat.

First you're deplorable, then you're a rube, and now you're....

The “comic” who made those remarks is probably voting for Kamala.
