It's not heavy (if you mean total weight wise) in my opinion - a standard 45ACP 1911 is 39oz. The Prodigy 5" is 33oz, 4.25" is 32.5oz. That weight translates into a much better shooting experience. If you mean heavy as in the trigger pull, I haven't touched the trigger on mine but it's at about...

I tend to agree, but I think the price point of the DWX just puts it in this weird middle ground, where it's more expensive than a Prodigy, but almost the exact same price as a Staccato. What would be the point of buying the DWX over something like a BUL, a Prodigy or a Staccato? On another...

I'd be very interested to try one out. Don't know anything about the manufacturer, but if the quality is good and it shoots well, it's a winner.

I sent mine in for a failure to feed and eject issue and they replaced the safety as well. Didn't even really notice an issue but when I got it back, the safety was crisp and doesn't move even a mm now when engaged or disengaged. They must have given it a once over and found it was out of spec...

My Conceal Carry is a 'low price special' impulse buy. Walther CCP. LGS had it on 'Clearance' for $249 a couple years ago. Ended up being a great buy.

Unsure if Trijicon would do this as well, but I bought the Vortex Viper for my Prodigy and the screws were too long - called them and they sent me the right screws free of charge.

Last update: Ran just over 300 rounds through the gun with the Staccato mags now with -zero- issues. Definitely an SA mag issue.

Personal opinion: I absolutely cannot stand Glock grips at all.

I picked up the DeSantis OWB leather holster from SA's site for my 5" and it's extremely well made and very comfortable.

Yea that's kind of the rub. I wouldn't want replacements until at least mags v2 come out. I'll give them a call and see. At least at this point there's no doubt the mags are causing issues.
