    Imagine my surprise....

Who can forget about him worrying that Guam might "tip over and...cap-SIZE" from the weight of all the mil equipment on it?

    anyone hear of the organization?

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is a United States nonprofit organization that supports gun rights. Founded in 1974 by Alan Gottlieb and headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, SAF publishes gun rights magazines and public education materials, funds conferences, provides media contacts, and...

It MUST be true. NASA Houston is in her district, so I'm sure she's all science-y and stuff.

Biden Administration to Close 'Gun Show Loophole'

There IS no "gun show loophole," it's a complete myth. Most sellers at gun shows are FFL holders and have to conduct their bidness exactly as if they were in their store. There's no such thing as an "unlicensed dealer." There IS a federal felony called "Engaging in the business without a...

    Story of the Flying Tigers

I used to know this. Was it somebody at Disney studios?

    anyone hear of the organization?

They're legit, and I believe there might be some connection to SAF. They've been around a LONG time, at least 20 years, maybe more than 30 or even more.

    9mm revolvers

But I think cutting a .38/.357 cylinder for clips came along later, AFTER 9mm revolvers appeared. I've been into clipped revolvers since the '80s. Bought my first Smith 25-2 (.45 ACP) about 1986. Been following them ever since, though I've never owned or shot a "clipped" 9mm or .38/.357.

    9mm revolvers

Okay, back in those days, where did you get 9mm "moon clips"?

    9mm revolvers

Hmmmm. Never thought about that. Do you use the same clips with both? --Snake, off to research 9mm and .38/.357 case dimensions.

    Anyone do minimalist camping?

That was the first thing I thought, too. You can get a sealed 6-pack of them at Walmart for a couple bucks. ONE of them HAS to work, right?

    Anyone do minimalist camping?

I did a bunch of it over 50 years ago. It was called the Boy Scouts. I'm older and wiser and richer and lazier now, so, in answer to the original question: NO.

    OMG

He is a perfect illustration of what's called the Septic Tank Principle: The Biggest Chunks of Crap Always Float to the Top. I'll bet you can think of plenty of other examples in YOUR life, too.

for those with a little extra cash lying around

You must be older'n me. I can't offhand recall any commercials where the women were Full June Cleaver, but I'm sure I must have seen some when I was a toddler. I DO remember Nancy Sinatra singing for Firestone Wide Ovals, though, around 1966 or '67. ;)

    Gas prices...

Have at it. Prove him wrong. We're listening.

for those with a little extra cash lying around

Are you sure that wasn't just a McDonald's commercial? (I'm so old I can remember seeing white people and even whole happy white families in McDonald's commercials. I can also remember cigarette commercials on TV.)

for those with a little extra cash lying around

Looks like something Batman would drive to his local Proud Boys or Oath Keepers meeting.
