    250 Yard Range Revamped

After shooting the cowbell gong at 250 yards, I decided to revamp it so I could have multiple gongs hung instead of just one. I took advantage of the warm weather and the fact that we didn't have frozen ground here in February. I cut a 3" I Beam at 60" for the uprights and drilled a 1.375" hole...

    Let Freedom Ring

I designed a cowbell gong for my range. Got it painted up, set it up at the 250 yard marker and blew the dust off the 338 RUM. It resonates well, you can hear it at 250 yds.

.257 Roberts: Is It Time To Bury Ol’ Bob?

I have a Remington 700 Classic in 257 Roberts. My go to load is a 115 gr BT at 3100 fps from the 24" barrel. Being a long/Magnum action, my coal is 2.900" which allows for more case capacity and lower pressure. It is essentially a 25-06. Case life is very good too.

    Just bought a Marlin 1895 sbl 45-70 gov’t…

I love my Marlin 1895G Guide gun. Keep it clean and oiled, it will last 100 years. Put your effort into ammo, especially if you don't reload. Reloading is easy and you can load it from mild to wild. I've got a Leupold VX-3 1.75-6x32mm scope and run the Nosler 300 he BSt at 2100 fps. Best 3 shot...
