I have the 4" and the 5.6" pc version along with their 5.7. The 4" I've shot maybe 300 rounds in it, but the other 2 are still unfired.

How hard is it to add the safety on an M&P? Mine's a 5" Performance Center. Did you do it yourself? I want one, but doing this is a bit out of my comfort zone...

It's simple, I've done it twice. I think Midwest Gun Works sells the parts kit, lever, spring, and detent.
I would recommend getting the armorers manual as well.
And as an aside, I'd also recommend a few extra detent springs.

Yeah, but some states like Massholistan require a safety among other things

It's always comical/frustrating to be in a class with MA-compliant people because we always have to wait for them to reload every 10 shots fired, sometimes less depending on the gun...
