And while I don’t have a 3” M66, I do have a 2.5” 66, and a 3” 65…

My three .45 Smith Ns are two 25-2s (6" and 6.5"), and M1917--well, technically a Brazilian M1937. Believe it or not, that stupid old gun will actually outshoot the two newer, fully target-equipped 25-2s. I bought it cheap in the '80s, intending to put a 3" barrel on it and turn it into a "Super Snub." Then I made the mistake of actually shooting it. I have one iron rule: When you run across a gun that shoots as well as that one does, you don't eff with it--especially not the barrel. I still have the 3" barrel waiting patiently in the closet for...something....
