13-year-old boy trying to break into Kia shot by concealed carry license holder

They sell alcohol here. They sell ammo a little further south. Here when they ditched handgun and AR ammo company wide we took it seriously. F Walmart. I wouldn’t buy ammo from them at 1968 prices.
I think it was 20 years ago my wife bought me a bottle of eyeglass cleaner at Walmart. It had a small bottle with it that they guaranteed free refills for life.

That's about the only reason I actually go to a big Walmart any more is to get that bottle filled.

My dream is to open a store called "Bob's Beer and Bullets".

( I don't know if they sell cigars or pipe tobacco)
Around here it is very hard to find pipe tobacco of any kind except RYO cigarette tobacco labeled as pipe tobacco to avoid extra taxes. Plus, you can't have tobacco products shipped by mail except "premium" cigars, so no good pipe tobacco for you. There is a BLEEPING head shop on every other corner BECAUSE RECREATIONAL POT IS A-OKAY🤬

So, the kid is armed with a firearm and committing an armed burglary of an automobile and gets shot by an owner who was legally armed. The use of force statute in Illinois provides immunity when using deadly force against a person committing a forcible felony. Burglary is enumerated as a forcible felony in the Illinois statute. I don't have all the facts but on first read of the report I cannot imagine a jury convicting the shooter of anything and the immunity clause gives the victim immunity from lawsuit, especially if the shooter knew the kid was armed. An ethical prosecutor would not file a charge. I have been predicting for the past couple of years that we are going to see more of this type thing as citizens become more and more frustrated with government's inability to deal with crime.

In the category of you can't make this stuff up:
I got the same deal with eyeglass cleaner at Costco: 2 bottles of cleaner. Free refills in a dispenser in the eyeglass department. Refilled my bottles for years. Then all of the sudden, the dispensers vanish. Turns out someone tried to fill their water bottle at the dispenser. Well, I guess their legal department had a meltdown. Now you bring your bottles in, and they will exchange them for new filled bottles for free.

Now if there was only a place to do that with gun cleaner solution....
