14 year old hoodlum fatally shot in Albuquerque

SOMEONE "supposedly" threw a rock and a shot was fired, at who, the rock thrower, innocent bystander? , how did he know did he see the thrower?

Not sure about this one.my instincts lie with the guy though.

Lots of unknowns however I would bet he’s cleared.

Basically his home was breached by a projectile ie the rock it’s really slightly different than if someone shot into your house. Rocks can cause serious bodily injury so deadly force is allowed. Was the kid (or someone) getting ready to throw another one etc etc
 
A similar thing happened in my neighborhood several years ago, only the perp said he was being chased by someone and his life was in danger. The homeowner did not have a gun but did have a baseball bat. He held the perp until the police arrived. In hindsight, if he had happened to have a gun, probably would have been a dead perp. The neighbor and his wife moved soon after that incident. Wonder why?
 
Columbia MO is my hometown, and we never used to have much trouble. Now shootings are common, and it is almost always the under 21 crowd. Kids don't fight with fists anymore. Go straight to guns. Sad. I personally think a significant contribution to this fatalist attitude is Climate Change indoctrination they have received in school since kindergarten. They have been told they are doomed because of things their grandparents did, like industrialize. So they think they are walking dead, the planet will snuff everything out by the time they are 30, so why go to school? Why bust your ass working a job? Crime is a shortcut to the good life, so you might as well go all in and get yours while you can.

I say this because my nephew is 10 and afraid the world is about to end because his teachers told him so. Unreal.

um yeah but when we were young the teachers told us the russians would launch any day and we had no future either. Damn good thing I didn't listen to them back then. The "education" people have been indoctrinating kids since forever.
We make our own choices.

I grew up in St. Louis. I'm 56 now. When I was young the only shootings really were on the north side. It seems that now, because the north side has crept slowly to encompass the entire city, regular people are pretty much forced to carry guns now.

We used to fight for sport. We went looking for fights. It was no big deal. These days you better avoid them if possible and make sure there are no cameras or witnesses around if you can't.
