I’m familiar with Gastonia. I lived there for about 1 and 1/2 years when I had a few construction jobs in Maiden , Forest City and Shelby.Closer to Tennessee, in a town called Gastonia, ne of Charlotte, the family trees do not have any forks or splits .. as in uncle/dad or aunt/mom or like that old Burt Reynolds movie Deliverance. Wish I was joking
Yeah, you know !! Shelby, another whopperjawed place !! Us Yankees always laughed at how panicked the locals got at the merest hint of snow or ice !! You’d think fans of NASCAR would be better drivers in any type conditions - maybe they should’ve been bootleggers !!I’m familiar with Gastonia. Beautiful area especially heading west . The only negative was the traffic around Charlotte it was a nightmare.

It's the most ridiculous BS I can think of. Might as well relocate the earth to a nicer part of the universe or something. Idiots.I forgot a large percentage of the population has to change clocks......we stay the same year round. Ha!
I remember back in the early 90's, we had freezing rain event all night, it was 14 degrees above 0 and poured rain most of the night........real bad icing in morning......Rain freezes way before it drops to 19 outside.
