Hi Everyone. I hope everyone is safe and sound in these troubling times.
Just recently picked up but waiting to take possession of a 1911 Loaded model (PX9109LCA ) and yes I'm from California. Will be fishing Idaho,Wyoming and Montana this July an want my 1911 easily accessible fly fishing the rivers. I'm 6'3 and 230 and like to be comfortable and safe and any recommendations much appreciated.
 
Thank You. I realized this can be restrictive with my fishing vest on. I'm sorry for the rookie questions but want to make sure i'm ready. Will explore more options.
 
I use a Alien gear.
They make a model for a backback rig as well. Attaches to the strap of your backpack on your chest/armpit area. Maybe an option

Thank You. I think I would prefer that. Looks like I will be in Idaho in July and will stop by and hopefully try it out before I buy.
