1911 Mil-Spec in OD Green

I ran across a Mil-spec .045 1911 Springfield in OD Green today. Shop had a certificate showing it is a limited production of 5,500. I believe this gun was 3xx of 5,500. I do not see any detail on this limited run model on Springfield site. I have looked at several other sites and not found any new available.

Does anyone know anything about them? Shop is asking $749 new in box which seems a bit high. What are your thoughts, what do you know about this OD Green gun?

It looked similar to this link and image I found on Buds.

i can’t help you, but am sure someone else here can.
The reviews in link you posted to Bud’s are from ‘09. That one must have been on the shelf quite a while. Price seems high considering you can get the SA Mil-Spec for less than that, i believe, and it has better sights.

I bought one of these Mil-spec .045 1911 Springfield in OD Green last month at a local retailer for $549.00. The serial number is MSD 1xxx of 5,500. The gun is manufactured in the Illinois. I too am wondering why there is nothing on SA's website about the guns.

Good afternoon Ladies and Germs
I recently purchased one of these as well. However, it is available only to a Midwest group. And available for a certain buying group, Such as Running's Farm and Fleet.
It is a wonderful example of a 1911 and are brand new to shelves.

Lighting not the best but it is od green.
