But, but [sputter sputter] Why all of a sudden get this ghost “Hi, TWave! Here’s your latest update…”? I do get messages from them occasionally on my other email and that username/handle. Never TWave though.
That kinda freaked me out.

I’ll search old email and see if I signed double.
(PS- just to clarify: never intended to imply there was any issue with TAL. More like me getting hacked or something)

it has to do with your site personal settings. you can eliminate emails, for postings to your thread, or even admins.

i delete all notifications from all websites.

since it may have "started up" from a dormant account, under the new ownership, everything is at the default mode on the site.

They can set a periodic email to be sent out at whatever interval they'd like. For example, they could set up the emails to be something like "whoever hasn't logged in in the last two years." They probably just revamped their sending schedule recently, or perhaps it was never set up until recently.

If you want to be sure it's your account, you could request a password reset on the 1911 Addicts forum (using the same email that you recently got a notification sent to) and see if you're then able to login with your TidalWave account there.

I really only join(ed) forums for information or research. Usually about specific problems, products or whatever. All of which I noticed I can still get from all those places without attaching myself to them in any way shape or form.

As forum’s go this is the only one I’m on and I have desire to join others.
Yes I do have a Facebook homepage however I post very very little and use it mainly to keep in touch with classmates from high school and friends from my home state. All that other social media I have no use for.

When my band was active I had a FB page for the band. Was a total waste of time really.
