NRA will begin online registration for the 2024 NRA World Shooting Championship at 1:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

NRA World Shooting Championship

The NRA World Shooting Championship gathers the top shooters in the world to compete in virtually every type of major firearms shooting sport including pistol, rifle, shotgun and combined firearm sports, crowning one competitor as the undisputed World Shooting Champion.

"World Shooting Championship staff will be responsible for helping to set up and tear down the match as well as run the match for our other competitors. All staff will receive room and board while supporting the match. They will also be allowed to compete for prize table only prior to the listed match dates."

There is an update to the 2024 World Shooting Championships in the latest issue of Shooting Sports Illustrated including the stages for the Championship and the side matches..

"The NRA World Shooting Championship, presented by Walther Arms is making its triumphant return after a five-year hiatus and is poised to be the biggest one yet. This year’s match will take place at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Ind., April 3-6. More than $250,000 in cash and prizes will be up for grabs at the competition, including a $25,000 check for the 2024 NRA World Shooting Champion. In addition, all firearms, optics and ammunition are provided to NRA World Shooting Championship competitors to level the playing field for this unique competition."

NRA World Shooting Championship: 2024 Event By The Numbers​

According to Practiscore, there were 213 registered competitors at the 2024 NRA World Shooting Championship.
There were 149 shooters in the Amateur division and 64 in the Professional division.

Perhaps best of all, there was an enormous amount of guns, optics, ammunition and more that was awarded—enough that the NRA needed a separate tent during the awards ceremony to house it all.

A full match report from the 2024 NRA World Shooting Championship will be published in a future issue of the digital magazine.
