Um, No. the .22 caliber is pretty well covered, from .22 short to .220 Swift.

I stayed with my .308 saint victor while a buddy rushed out to get his new 6.5... he doesn't use it now, been a year....I wonder

Basically pretty much everything balistically feasible using traditional systems has been done. You can get variations on a theme, but it’s basically just hyping something new to generate sales-not any major sea change in capabilities. Sig’s “new” military round gains what 500 fps over the nearly century old .276 Pederson designed for the M1 (and runs at double the pressure to get that.

Also from another respected forum, folks comment that some f-arms manufacturers keep on pushing for more cartridges to sell yet more models. Could it be?

Have a 6.5 Swede and a .264 Mag. Never saw the need for another, unless it be a 6.5 Mannlicher Schoenauer. (confidentially I have some 6.5 Carcanos,but let’s not tell anyone)!

6.5 Swede is a Great round! Very accurate, mild recoil.

Whoa, hadn't seen that article. 30 caliber being used in a lot of crimes, huh? Guess it's no surprise given how popular it is among shooters
