When my daughter was an art student she named a litter of kittens after famous artists. We had a Pablo, Dali (calico), Ani, Michelangelo. Then we had a battle scarred opossum show up on tbe back porch to share the cat food. He was missing his left ear, so we named him Vincent. She goes off to med school 12 years ago and becomes a trauma doc. Now she gives her kittens cheese names, like Brie, Gouda, and Cheddar.

When I was married to my first wife we lived out in the middle of nowhere on some ground. At one time we had 13 cats. Most the offspring of a stray I took with us from the apartment we lived in before we bought the house. She was pregnant at the time but we didn’t know it. Her name was Marge.

Some of the names.

Lenny and Squiggy ( they were twins)
Benny and Max
Lisa
Maggie
Psycho
Polly
Syd

These days I just have two. Jeff and Phoebe.

OH, lord do I even dare? Going out on a limb, you clowns keep your butterfly nets, and sport coats with tie in the rear sleaves at home. ;)

russel, auhty, lil, cc, mike, joe, toby, love, george, c-puff, wilbur, shadow, maybell, rags, honeybun, henery, jack, and mattie.

We Used to trap for Barn cat association have the cats fixed and take them back to the barns, kittens would be taken to a shelter for adoption. The gaggle above were sickly and needed nursing back to health. Well once you have done that ya can't just let em go now, can ya? Get too attached. Once I took two kittens to the shelter and brought them back home PLUS one more. The Mrs. says I'm soft hearted I counter by "you mean soft headed."

This little girl was in my garden for a few days. Mom never came around to gather her up and she was too young to be on her own. I fed her and got her to my vet where somewhere there got her adopted out.
I have dogs and bringing this girl into the mix would not have gone over well. In the end it worked out. She was real cute though. Almost made me a cat person. 😄
