Is anybody else having a tough time getting primers seated in these cases? I mean I have chamfered and reamed
a lot and they still can be near impossible to get a primer seated.....

I purchased 50 Sig cases and the primers drop right in.

Anybody got a fix? I mean other than buying more SIG cases..... :ROFLMAO:

Called Hornady today. Technician said that the crimp that they put on the case is very heavy.
Therefore a lot of material will have to be removed to be able to seat a fresh primer.
So, if you are trying to reload some of these cases.... give them a good reaming!

Wonder why they crimp the primer heavy-the .223 or .556 NATO they both have a working pressure of 55,000 PSI
Have a 1000 rounds of 5.56 that just bought. Betting that it has a heavy crimp on the primer too.
New brass on the other hand has no crimp (duh, no primer) so the primers punch right in with ease.

Heavy on caliber specific or just nato type ammo?

Sig 556 cases?

Well I'm no help for the 300bo Hornady cases/ammo. The ammo/brass that I have/use are a different brand and have no issues with about primer problems.

So I replied that I had 1000 5.56 and after I shoot some I'll try reloading them to see
if the crimp is as heavy
