Has anyone else tried these targets yet?

I picked up a 3 pack of these targets a couple months ago from my LGS and I have to say these targets are awesome!

The target below was shot with 18 rounds of 9mm at 30ft.

Using 3D targets gives you a much different perspective of shot placement and as opposed to paper as the bullets enter at different the contours of the 3D target making it appear like your groups are larger than they actually are..

These are made from a high density paperboard product and they can take a beaten. I've shot hundreds of rounds through the target with .22lr, 9mm, 10mm, 5.56, .300BLK, & .308 and they stand up really well without falling apart or losing large pieces.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on training with this type of target and what other kinds of targets have you seen or used that are different or unique then standard flat targets.

I haven’t tried them, but I’ve used other 3D type targets in classes...it’s eye-opening when taking shots from a non head-on angle...if you aim where you normally would, your shots would miss vitals completely.

They look interesting; if I ever see them, I’ll pick some up.
They are definitely fun targets!

I tried to get more at my LGS but they haven't had them back in a few weeks now. I've seen them on Amazon from 3rd party sellers but they want full MSRP plus shipping. I paid $12.00 for the 3 pack I got which I feel is just the right price.

Agreed they are not cheap!

These are not something I'd use regularly but they are good for periodic training and definitely worth a try.

I literally put at least 200 rounds into one of these targets and it held up great. Bullets travel cleanly through them without tearing the material.

At $3 a pop, I’d buy them in person, but shipping would be a deal killer.

And I’d probably use old T-shirts to make them a bit more realistic; might give them a bit more life, too...

You can buy little round stickers at the dollar store to cover up your hits if they hold out for that many rounds.
In the end might be just as cheap as other targets.

There's also moisture set adhesive paper shipping tape available by the roll that may work for patching. All else fails in a pinch use band aides? :)

Could also make a simple to make pinata by layering wet news paper over a form, like balloons. Let form dry and have just about whatever shape you want? Could have this one in mind? 🤣

Rubber Chicken Pinata by PleasantlyPinatas on Etsy, $24.99 ...
